Family Connection Resources on
Programs/Bible Studies

Building a Christian Marriage (Videos, CPH) This course uses video segments, discussion topics, and Scripture to help engaged and married couples discover potential problems and realize their need of Christ.

The Caring Ministry Video Series (Videos, LWML) Titles include: Yes, No or Later; The Open Window; Carefully Hidden; and I Feel So Alone. These videos deal with issues such as: life-support decisions, alcoholism, abuse, AIDS, and drug dependency.

Changes and Choices (Videos, CPH) Four-session course for junior high youth teaches that sexuality is a gift from God that should be treasured.

Connections Bible Studies (Studies, CPH) Titles include: Knowing God, Love, God-Esteem, Happiness, Decisions, Fear, Worry and Anger.

Facing Sickness and Death, Oesch (Study, CPH) This six-session study helps Christians face the problems brought on by sickness and death-the results of our sinful natures.

Faith and Values Development, Bueschlein (Study, CPH) Part of the Scriptural Foundation for Parenting series, this course helps parents understand their child's spiritual and emotional growth and, with guidance from Scripture, learn how to communicate and reinforce the Christian faith.

Family Life Issues Series (Studies, CPH) Title include: Growing as a Christian Mother, Growing as a Christian Father, Growing as a Single Parent, Growing as a Blended Family, Life in the Sandwich Generation, Overcoming Dysfunction, Managing Finances and Maximizing Media.

For Life (Study, CPH) Four sessions that examine abortion from the perspective of those considering it.

From Heartache to Healing, Bartlett (Study, CPH) This four-session course considers the effects of abortion and its impact on the family, church, and society.

God Loves Me-So What!, Doud (Videos, CPH) A Bible study for youth and parents, using faith-testing situations and real-life examples.

Godly Man Series (Studies, CPH) A series written especially for men in a book-study format designed for individual or group use. Includes: Men at Work; Men in Relationships.

God's People Together, Troester (Study, CPH) A study to add excitement to a congregation's summer Sunday school program. This intergenerational Bible study contains nine complete lessons.

Learning Christian Family Communication (Video, CPH) A program that brings families back to the basics of building strong, Christ-centered relationships. May be taught in six to twelve 60-minute sessions.

Life Choices, Who Decides?, Klotz (Study, CPH) A study of the Christian ethical principles in God's word that should inform decisions about euthanasia, suicide, abortion, and other life issues.

Life Cycle Bible Studies (Studies, CPH) Titles include: Off and Running: The Young Adult Years; Getting It Together: The Middle Years Part 1; Recharting the Waters: The Middle years Part 2; Facing Changes: The Mature Years Part 1; and Are We There yet? The Mature Years Part 2.

Living With Purpose, Sonnenberg/Ludwig (Videos, CPH) A six-session course to help participants learn how to live life more fully.

The Masters Touch (Bible Studies, CPH) Titles include: Living with Chronic Pain, Suffering From Guilt, Living With Change, Coping With Compassion Fatigue, Living With Compulsive Behaviors, Discovering Life After Divorce, Living With Infertility, Overcoming Depression, Surviving Sexual Abuse, Living With Too Little Time, Coping With Stress, Living With Grief, and Living With Terminal Illness, Surviving Financial Crisis, Living With Workaholism, AIDS: A Christian Response.

Parenting and Grandparenting in Today's World, Herman (Workshop, LWML) This workshop explores parental attitudes as well as the needs and interests of children ages 0-19 through discussion groups, Bible study, and worship.

Parenting With Purpose, Sonnenberg (Video, CPH) This six-session study helps parents build strong family relationships.

Parenting With Values, Sonnenberg (Video, CPH) This video-based Bible study gives proven techniques for teaching God's values in a manner children can grasp and cling to for life.

Renewing the Family Spirit, Ludwig (Video, CPH) Designed for all families. This study will help couples gain new insight into each other and parents communicate better with their children.

Romance and Sexuality, Sonnenberg/Keurulainen (Study, CPH) Part of the Scriptural Foundation for Marriage series, this study helps couples renew their commitment to one another and to God's plan for marriage. Couples look at what Scripture says about love, focusing on the gift of sexuality.

Single on Sunday, Reed (Study, CPH) This manual offers ministry programs for spiritual growth, emotional support, social interaction, and educational development to meet the needs of singles.

Tell All The World, Doyle (Study, CPH) This study of the book of Acts is designed to bring children, teens, parents, singles, and grandparents together in an exciting and unique learning experience.

Walking in the Shadows, Keurulainen (Study, CPH) This study prepares believers to better comfort others who are bereaved and to find comfort themselves when they lose loved ones.

The Power of We, Ludwig (Video-Bible study, CPH) This course takes an in-depth look at the marriage relationship and God's promise that "the two will become one flesh." Through the study of the Word and by examples on the video, this study provides a scriptural understanding of the "WE" - the unity of husband and wife - and practical, day-to-day wisdom to protect the marriage relationship and keep it alive and growing.
